Care and storage.

Fabric graphics (SEG and tension fabric)

• Fold loosely or roll, printed side in, never crease sharply.
• Spot clean with mild soap and cool water; many dye-sub fabrics can be machine washed on cold and hung to dry.
• Wrinkles usually relax once the graphic is stretched in the frame; a steamer on low helps.

Vinyl banners

• Roll, don’t fold, with the printed side out to avoid cracking.
• Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap.
• Store flat or rolled in a dry place away from heat.

Banner stands

• Retract slowly, guiding the graphic by hand.
• Keep the cassette in its bag and store it lying flat.
• If the graphic won’t retract, don’t force it; the tension can be reset.

Rigid signs and panels

• Store upright with foam or cardboard between each sign.
• Clean with a soft cloth; avoid glass cleaners with ammonia on printed surfaces.

Packing a booth

• Photograph the booth set up so the next install is quick.
• Label every frame, bag and graphic with where it goes.
• Keep a small kit: spare hardware, tools, Velcro, tape and zip ties.
• Make sure everything is dry before it goes in the case.

Storage between shows
